Brief Description of Case Type: 
This type of case is for suspension of individuals participating in nonprocurement programs of the GSA (e.g., loan guarantees, subsidies, scholarships or grants). Suspension may be imposed for the same causes as debarment. See 41 CFR 105-68.210 (incorporating the causes in 41 CFR 105-68.970). Though suspension may be imposed for the same causes as debarment, suspensions are temporary actions that generally only last up to one year while the DOJ conducts an investigation for any contemplated legal proceedings. See 41 CFR 105-68.760. The suspension terminates after 12 months have passed from the date of the suspension notice unless the DOJ requests an extension, but in no event can it last longer than 18 months. Id.
