This scheme covers formal proceedings to suspend, terminate, or deny CNCS funding to program participants or applicants (e.g., VISTA, Year for ACTION, Foster Grandparent Program) based on a finding of noncompliance with requirements under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX, or section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, which prohibit recipients of federal financial assistance from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability in the operation of their programs.
