Brief Description of Case Type: 
A third form of debt collection employed by the SBA is administrative wage garnishment. These cases involve the SBA ordering an individual's employer to turn over a portion of the individual's pay to satisfy a delinquent non-tax debt. See 13 CFR 140.11(a). Salary offsets against federal employees are not included within this case type, as those are governed by separate regulations under 13 CFR 140.2 and 140.3. Though the wage garnishment section (13 CFR 140.11) makes no reference to an OHA hearing or to the procedures of 13 CFR Part 134, the section describing OHA's jurisdiction includes "[c]ollection of debts owed to SBA and the United States under . . . part 140 of this chapter." 13 CFR 134.102(i).
