Brief Description of Case Type:
This case type includes business entities' appeals from the agency's so-called "size determinations." The SBA's size standards define whether a business entity is small and, thus, eligible for Government programs and preferences (e.g., loans) reserved for “small business” organizations. The SBA uses size standards that have been established for certain types of economic activity or industry under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). See 13 CFR 121.01. Appeals challenging the closely-related issue of NAICS code designations are considered part of the same case type for purposes of this form.
