Brief Description of Case Type: 
Suspension proceedings against an Independent Public Accountant (IPA) that provides required audit services to an LSC grantee. Suspension proceedings occur in anticipation of further debarment proceedings and bar IPA from soliciting further audit contracts from grantees during the pendency of those debarment proceedings. Grounds for suspension include all grounds for debarment as well as suspension by another specified entity or indictment for an offense implicating its integrity. Proceedings are initiated by issuance of a notice of proposed debarment and provide the subject IPA an opportunity to present evidence and argument militating against the proposed debarment on a truncated schedule.
