Scheme Nickname: 
Nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs under Title VI & Rehab Act

This scheme covers formal proceedings to suspend, terminate, or deny NEH funding to program participants or applicants based on a finding of noncompliance with requirements under (a) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 USC 2000d et seq.), which prohibits recipients of federal financial assistance from discriminating on the basis of race, color, or national origin in the operation of their programs; and (b) section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 USC 794 et seq.), which prohibits recipients of federal financial assistance from discriminating on the basis of disability in the operation of their programs.
